Sorry guys, I’ve been MIA yet again! Last week I spent 4 days on BEAUTIFUL Orcas Island with my family and it was just as amazing as I remember! We headed out on Monday, did the hour and fifteen minute drive from Seattle to Anacortes, and then an hour ferry to the island. We couldn’t check into our VRBO house until 4, so we went into the small town of Eastsound and explored. The town had the most beautiful artwork and crafts. So much to look at, my aunts and I could have browsed around forever. After, we checked into our house with a gorgeous view of the Sound, barbecued up some burgers, cracked open a few local brews, and had a nice first dinner together on the island. The next day we headed to Deer Harbor on the other side of the island to do a guided kayak tour of the Sound. We saw so much wildlife, including baby seals playing together. It was so cute! We had perfect weather for our 3 hour kayaking session, but the rain eventually came later that day. And then Wednesday, it unfortunately never stopped pouring. I took the ferry over to San Juan Island on Wednesday to explore gorgeous Roche Harbor, pick some wild lavender from Pendilaba Lavendar Farms, and check out an alpaca farm. Loved it!
