Last night one of my best guy friends came into town for business and we went out for dinner. Since he’s from Arizona and a big Cards fan, we had to find a great place with lots of TVs to watch the game. My best friend Laura recommended we go to this place called Kickin Boot Whiskey Kitchen in Ballard. Laura we love you! This place was phenomenal. The decor inside is amazing! Makes you really feel like you’re in an old school southern bar, the selection of whiskey is insane, and the food…WOW. From the minute we walked in, we went to town. Also, since Justin got to expense dinner to his work account, we didn’t hold back. We started with some delicious drinks: bourbon and bubbles, and a whiskey smash. Then as “starters” haha (J ordered everything) we got fried green tomatoes (NOM) and a sampler platter of brisket, pulled pork, ribs and cornbread. Casual starter platter. The picture featured on this post is the actual photo of our “second course.” We got the pulled chicken sandwich with horseradish coleslaw, and a large beef brisket with mac and cheese, cornbread, and garlic mashers. Oh and more drinks. Bravo us!
