Tinto de verano

So after almost 10 days in Madrid, I have already mastered one thing: local drinking. No surprise there to anyone who follows my instagram. Sorry Mom. One of the drinks Madrid is known for is “tinto de verano,” which translates to summer wine. It is basically a mixture of fanta soda and red wine. Throw a piece of fruit in there and you got it. And I can’t stop drinking it. Since sangria is more a northern Spain thing, I’m going to wait to try Barcelona’s famous sangria, but on the list for Madrid is to try their famous mojitos. Apparently the bar that serves the best mojito in the city is down the street from my apartment. On to the next!
