NOLA

I’m a little bit behind on my travel posts, but since I just got back from NOLA round 2, figured it was about time to blog it. I went to New Orleans for the first time for Thanksgiving last year. One word to describe that trip: NOM. We ate SO much good food. Started out at Dat Dog down in the French Quarter. Tried a local beer (Andygator) with a alligator hot dog with crawfish etoufee on top and bacon cheese ranch fries. Goodbye diet. I also got to try something called crawfish bread, which if you thinks sounds disgusting, you could not be more wrong. Also had quite a few famous daiquiris while I was there, including the original 190 Octane daiquiri. Basically straight everclear. Woof. Of course no trip to NOLA is complete without a visit to Cafe du Monde for beignets. They were super cheap and super delicious. Also, tried pralines (yum) and jambalaya (fantastic) from the infamous Mother’s Restaurant down in the quarter. Another post to come about Mardi Gras in NOLA last weekend…EPIC.
