This past weekend my friend and I roadtripped to Asheville, North Carolina. And it was a DREAM. Definitely one of my new favorite cities. We made a pit stop on the way into town to hike some amazing trails in the Blue Ridge Mountains off the Blue Ridge Parkway. The mountains are stunning. The first hike we did was to “Skinny Dip Falls.” It was a relatively easy short hike to this stunning lagoon type set up. There were about 8 different pools that the waterfalls ran thru, and they were deep enough to jump off of high rocks into. It was so much fun! And pretty damn cold, but so refreshing. After the waterfall we headed 5 miles down the parkway to Devil’s Courthouse. It’s a 1/2 mile hike straight UP to the top of this huge cliff ledge with 360 degree unparalleled views of the mountains. It’s a must see! After some cardio, we headed into downtown Asheville for some beer! First stop was Sierra Nevada Brewery. UNREAL. Best brewery ever. 1. It is massive. 2. It has everything. Beer, food, cornhole, bocce ball, firepits, rocking chairs, outdoor concert stage, food trucks, beer trucks. We were in heaven. After Sierra Nevada we headed down to the main drag Biltmore Avenue. There are breweries everywhere! It is so much fun. There’s also a Before I Die Wall where you can share your contribution on the chalkboard. So cool! We hit up a few more breweries that night, including Freakatorium, a sour beer only brewery. After meeting a few more bachelor parties, and beating some boys in cornhole, we were ready to call it a night 🙂 Perfect day in Asheville!
