Volcan Baru

***Update: We did it!! Starting at midnight, me and four friends walked 13.5km (one way) to the top of Volcan Barú, the highest point in all of Panama. It was one of the hardest experiences of my life, but so incredibly worth it. It took us almost 7 hours to go up and a little less than 5 to go down. SUCH a long day! But it was worth it for the laughs and pictures. This pic is at the top. A definite highlight to the day: hitchhiking the last 3 km down in the bed of a pickup truck carrying cabbage. So funny!

–Hiking the highest mountain in Panama tonight. No big deal. Details to come tomorrow. If I survive… 6 hours up, 6 hours down. Woof wish me luck
