Big Bad and …

Awhile back ago my oldest sister (and the person who I owe my love of travel to), sent me a link to a blog called The OverSeas Escape. One of the best parts of this girl’s blog is “The Big Bad Europe Bucket List.” It has 50 items, and a lot of them involve food and alcohol so I obviously approve. Check it out! One’s I’ve checked off:

  • #1: Sail the Croatian coast (a bit…still more to discover)
  • #3: Explore the lush Plitivce Lakes National Park in Croatia
  • #7: Hike between the villages in Cinque Terre, Italy
  • #11: Walk the halls of the Vatican in Vatican City
  • #20: (picnic) in the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris — been there but sans picnic…must go back!
  • #22: Descent the initiation well in Quinta de Regaleira in Sintra, Portugal
  • #23: Go on a tapas and sangria crawl in Barcelona, Spain (Can Paixano: single handedly best cava and tapas EVER)
  • #25: Kayak on dreamy Lake Como, Italy (didn’t kayak but I did waterski on Lake Como)
  • #27: Soak in a thermal spa in Budapest, Hungary
  • #29: Eat Pierre Hermes macaroons in Paris (they weren’t Pierre but they were damn good)
  • #30: Try your luck gambling at Monte Carlo in Monaco
  •  #32: Boat the canals of Amsterdam, Netherlands
  • #33: Explore the Alhambra in Granada, Spain
  • #34: Drink beer with the hipsters in an old train station in Berlin, Germany
  • #38: Listen to the Vienna Boys Choir in Vienna, Austria (wasn’t the boys choir but was an amazing opera)
  • #39: Wander the canaled village of Annecy, France
  • #44: Have a glass of Guinness at the factory in Dublin
  • #50: Marvel at the sunset in Santorini, Greece

Still lots more to do and see! Which have you done?
